This is the second Poly Macau Art Auction, pursuing the first auction organized earlier this year.

Sabrina Ho, director of Poly Macau and Casino tycoon daughter and Angela Leong, declared that the wedding is co-organized by Poly Macau and Chiu Yeng Culture. “I hope that a number of cultural events [organized with the two companies] brings to Macau new aspects that will permit to continue the diversification from the economy,” said Ho, who also expects that artists and art collectors worldwide will continue to support Macau being an art platform.

“We will continue to bring Macau more diversified cultural activities, and [will support] Macau to construct itself as a global art platform,” said Ho and “hopefully that Macau may become a well- known art capital in the future.”

Regency Hotel opened in 1983 and contains suffered from past business closures. Ho, however, hopes to change it into an art form hotel. “In Macau, there could be many resplendent big hotels, nevertheless the variety of hotels which can be useful for art as well as some creational events is, in fact, not very great,” said Ho.

Currently, Regency Hotel is not running any casinos, which, according to Ho, generates a different atmosphere in comparison to other hotels. She also thinks that guests residing in this hotel will be more “private.”

The “6075 Macau Hotel Art Fair” will likely be held in the Regency Hotel until November 27. A total of 60 exhibition halls will likely be arranged to show artworks from 60 artists born after 1975.

Ho claims that just a number of hotels are willing to provide young adults rooms and also to invite young adults to style the rooms for them.
