Ways To Use WordPress On The Move Through Smart Phones

I remember, a few years ago, reading an article by a prominent blogger and SEO expert about “mobile blogging”. He had a “blogging box” which allowed him to blog wherever he was (i thought was a bit stupid and pretentious). It included an electronic camera, a laptop having a 3G modem, a notepad and pen, along with other pieces. The entire lot almost fit into a suitcase.

Thankfully, things have progressed a bit, and now we have WordPress apps for iPhone/iPad and Android. Both apps are now compatible with more or fewer recent versions of WordPress. That being said, be sure to check which form of WordPress you need to be running to be able to access your dashboard via mobile.

Blogging vs Microblogging

Obviously, your primary limitation when using a phone for blogging is always that everything is a little bit much more of an irritation. You cannot type as fast, upload as many pictures, format too, or perform few advanced things. That can be done just about anything you’ll need, but it is more cumbersome.

That being said, the best way forward is clearly microblogging. By microblogging I do not mean a twitter-esque update. I recently mean a bare-bones post, with a picture and several commentary that you just considered when you were from your laptop plus a wi-fi connection.

What this enables you to do, amongst other pursuits, is live-blog events and issues that happen. In case you spot something exciting, you’ll be able to require a photo or even a video of it and set it on your own blog before you go back home. If you are available of breaking news, this is invaluable.
