I found my first copy of the book A program in Miracles circa 2005. I had heard it referenced by so many in the spiritual teachers I was into back then and figured I will probably look it over. One of my first memories of reading this course was sitting on a hospital bed while awaiting x-rays on my ankle from a skateboarding accident. Going reading the introduction, which said, “Nothing real could be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lies the peace of God.” Sounds good right? Well I’d be completely brimming with shit basically said I needed some revelation, or really even any clue as to what that meant. It sounded and also esoteric however, and so i read on. Immediately after weeks, I put the Course aside as it was the same to reading a magazine coded in Chinese. So we’re tricked by this thing, I’m calling the ego, while there is something we do not know about it. The ego likes this concept of separation. It wants to keep it going, because it feels important & special. It’s like Jesus’ prodigal son story- he leaves his fathers house, going off by himself because he thinks they can fare better, which ends up being a blunder. Everything he finds is scarcity, and also you can’t have scarcity in heaven because that which you have is an understanding perfect oneness, which I mentioned earlier.
