When should the amazing wedding speech be delivered…?

How weddings have changed in the decades! From the handful to 400-500 invited guests; one-two to six-eight bridal party members; a straightforward wedding car to expensive and large wedding cars; three course meals to six course meals; one-three live bands; simple attire to colorful and flamboyant dresses, suits and attire and off-the-cuff to well-prepared wedding speeches.

While we’re talking about aforementioned, wedding speeches continue to be a fundamental part of a wedding and guests do enjoy hearing them, referring to them before, during and indeed after they’ve been delivered.

We have all heard of wedding speeches delivered before the meal, throughout the meal after your food, however it’s of a strong opinion the wedding speeches should be delivered following the meal. I am aware that for most bridal party speakers i.e. Father with the Bride Speech, Father of the Groom Speech, Bride Speech, Groom Speech and Bestman Speech (5 main speakers), they would choose to have the wedding speeches prior to meal, to enable them to enjoy their meal (many of them are spending money for it!). However, it’s all about the invited guests and the way most of them (as well as the marriage venue staff) would choose wedding ceremony speeches to become delivered following the meal for a lot of reasons, a few of which include:

The invited guests are already fed and watered and are not hearing wedding speeches before eating anything (at least of food, which could be so before the meal, though weddings today do provide light snacks upon arrival on the wedding venue)
Food may be cooked and served at the agreed time (introduce the wedding ceremony speeches prior to meal in addition to their is actually a delay of Fifteen minutes to at least one.5 hours, driving your kitchen staff crazy attempting to keep food freshly cooked, presentable and edible)
Wedding ceremony speeches become the transition from the meal for the dancing (with nothing happening as soon as the meal, folks are expecting ‘a few words’ being shared in regards to the Bride & Groom after which it they do know they are able to stand up, move, come out, take a stroll, go to the bar…)
It can be hard for folks from the Bride & Groom to communicate in public areas, as the majority of them may not be used from it. So, they can, whenever they so wished, speak prior to / their meal.

There should always be some form of formal speech(es) following your meal…
