Concept of Spirituality
Mixing spirituality and religion is surely an ancient practice. For reasons unknown, it will always be simpler to accept things when they have the force of faith. Unfortunately, comparing spirituality and religion, is a lot like comparing chalk and cheese! Should you look at above quote carefully, you will note just what I mean. Spoken about above, religion is belief in another person’s experiences. Not one religion on the globe, have their own basis on universal experiences. These were all founded about the experiences of somebody, who lived centuries or even millennia ago! When nobody contested the claims, it absolutely was slowly converted to a law lastly religion was given birth to.
Spirituality conversely, is purely individual experience based. No two different people are similar nor are their experiences. Hence spirituality could mean different things to several people.
Till date, there’s no fixed concept of amil baba. Just one thing is for sure. Spirituality comes from within. It can’t be forced, explained nor manipulated.
Renowned spiritual leader and yoga guru, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, gave the next explanation when inquired about his opinion on spirituality:
“Spirituality doesn’t imply any particular practice. It is a certain strategy for being. To obtain there, there are many things you can do. This can be as being a garden at your residence. When the soil, sunlight or stem of the plant is in certain manner, it won’t yield flowers, you should do something. You will need to care for those actions. If you cultivate one’s body, mind, emotions and energies to a certain a higher level maturity, something else blossoms in the human body – it is precisely what spirituality is. As soon as your rationale is immature, it doubts everything. When your rationale matures, it sees all things in an absolutely different light.”
As quoted by Sadhguru, spirituality can’t be practiced. It is really an experience you decide to go through. Spirituality is really a journey, not really a destination. With every single experience you grow and turn into a greater type of yourself. Spirituality could be knowledge and knowledge is power. If harnessed appropriately, spirituality could be a potent force. Normally it takes us from your ordinary existence to an extraordinary living.
