When have to the outstanding wedding speech be delivered…?
How weddings have changed within the decades! From the handful to 400-500 invited guests; one-two to six-eight wedding party members; a fairly easy wedding car to expensive and huge wedding cars; three course meals to course meals; one-three live bands; simple attire to colorful and flamboyant dresses, suits and attire and off-the-cuff to well-prepared wedding speeches.
Speaking of aforementioned, wedding speeches are still a fundamental part of a married relationship and guests do enjoy hearing them, speaking about them before, during as wll as after they’ve been delivered.
We are all aware of father of the bride speech delivered prior to meal, throughout the meal and after the meal, yet it’s of the strong opinion that this wedding speeches needs to be delivered following the meal. I understand that for most bridal party speakers i.e. Father from the Bride Speech, Father of the Groom Speech, Bride Speech, Groom Speech and Bestman Speech (5 main speakers), they would want to contain the wedding speeches prior to meal, for them to enjoy their meal (many of them are paying for it!). However, is going on the invited guests and exactly how many (as well as the wedding ceremony venue staff) would rather the marriage speeches to become delivered after the meal for several reasons, some of which include:
The invited guests have been fed and watered and aren’t listening to wedding speeches before eating anything (at least of food, which will be the case ahead of the meal, though weddings today do provide light snacks upon arrival on the wedding venue)
Food can be cooked and served with the agreed time (introduce the wedding ceremony speeches prior to the meal along with their can be quite a delay of Quarter-hour to 1.5 hours, driving the kitchen staff crazy continuing to keep food freshly cooked, presentable and edible)
The marriage speeches work as the transition from your meal to the dancing (with nothing happening following your meal, individuals are expecting ‘a few words’ to be shared in regards to the Bride & Groom after which they understand they can stand up, move, take a break, go for a walk, see a bar…)
It can be difficult for moms and dads with the Bride & Groom to communicate in public, the majority of them would not be used of it. So, they may, whenever they so wished, speak prior to / their meal.
There should still be some kind of formal wedding speech(es) following the meal…
