Now that I’m at E3 I needed to get my hands on a controller in the next-gen of consoles. The 1st I obtained to play with may be the Xbox One’s. Microsoft hasn’t were built with a perfect reputation with controllers- anyone remember fondly the Duke controller in the original Xbox? Luckily, this controller is more Xbox 360 system then this Duke. One thing you’ll notice would it be looks a bit bit bigger than a 360 controller. It is simply an illusion; if anything it felt more at ease and snug inside my hands than the previous one ever did.

It is important for me which they absolutely had to enhance was the D-Pad. The directional pad around the Xbox 360 was unresponsive, clunky and merely a mess. For the Xbox One’s version, it’s sleek (in a smart way), fast plus it makes a delightful click if you apply pressure on the pad. I’m curious to see just how well a fighting game will play with this particular new controller.

Cod and Halo include the Xbox’s most popular games; they’re both shooters and you constantly need to take both analog sticks. So was there ways to enhance the already great analog sticks through the 360? It sure seems like they did. The analog sticks felt sensational looking sturdy and have also been quite accurate. Dare I say console gaming gets closer to the accurate sense of a mouse on a computer?

Something I needed using the Xbox gamepad may be the Xbox Guide button. It’s found in the top middle part of the controller and you will accidentally hit it. Microsoft thought we would make it flat (and so harder to push unintentionally) and place it at the summit from the controller. This is a smart area for the button i can’t locate lots of people hitting it during gameplay.

With the other various upgrades made from the Xbox controller, the triggers got some love as well, with rumble included with each.
