Remember when finding comfort school meant investing in a few notebooks, a fresh box of crayons, and new shoes? In the event you wore a uniform university, you probably got some of those too; or even, you’ve got one or two new outfits. That’s it.

Well, times have changed. The supply list now contains goods that was previously supplied by the colleges – like scissors, glue and tissues. Every child uses a new backpack, notebooks, paper, pens (red, blue and black), glue sticks, ruler, tape, scissors, markers, folders along with a calculator. For those who have two children and you shop the sales, you can still find yourself coughing up over $100.00 in supplies alone. Knowning that doesn’t even count the new clothes your youngster “has to have” or the fees which can be essential for art projects, lab costs, etc.

Don’t even get me moving on the supplies, including furniture and appliances, your son or daughter needs for school. Should it ever end?

Follow this advice for saving funds on paint set this year.

1) Recycle – Check to see everything you already have in your own home. You almost certainly have assorted crayons, markers, colored pencils, etc. lying around the house. Put these together in a pencil box which will help you save a few bucks.

2) Re-use – Kids believe that last year’s backpack needs to go, however a quick trip over the appliance might give it new life.

3) Reduce – Does your youngster have a notebook from last year that has three pages of written material within it and 77 blank pages left? Did you find this notebook in the recycle bin – or worse – the garbage? Now could be fun to discuss waste and keeping it low by getting essentially the most use possible out of every item.
